Tallpack's solution to reduce plastic impact

If we want to do something about usage of raw materials and the environmental pollution caused by plastic - apart from cleaning up - there are roughly five options:

• Use less plastic through the combination of the right film and optimal wrapping settings
• Use biodegradable and/or bio-based plastics
• Collect and recycle plastic
• Applying Grip Sheets for pallet stacking
• Apply Grip Fix® anti-slip adhesive

Can we still do without plastic?

It is unlikely that plastics will ever be replaced by another, similar material. For example, stretch film or strapping tape are strong, simple and practical to use, also cheap. When used properly, they offer maximum load security and optimal protection against weather influences/UV of the secondary packaging. So plastic is here to stay. Literally and figuratively.

But we do work with film manufacturers who continuously improve their products and regularly bring new innovative stretch films to the market. In addition, we have several products in our range that make it possible to achieve the same stability with less film. Below we highlight them:

Let's take our responsibility for the environment and use plastic and stretch film as consciously as possible. Let’s reduce this where possible and recycle as much as possible so that together we positively influence the "plastic soup" - the amount of micro-plastics and our CO2 footprint. That is our way to work together towards a sustainable future!

Tallstretch PCR-30: same security, smaller footprint In addition to the above products that help reduce film useage. We also have the more sustainable Tallstretch PCR-30 wrapping film in our range. This bio-based stretch film consists of at least 30% post-consumer recycled material. The material has the same properties and qualities as our regular film. It has very high stretchability, high puncture resistance and excellent adhesive properties. Because it is manufactured without PIB (Polyisobutylene), the stretch film itself is very easy to recycle. Tallstretch PCR-30 film is available as machine and hand film and in two versions: transparent and extra-transparent.
